Chlorine Levels

We have had some calls on chlorine level taste and smell. The chlorinator roto valve stuck open over the Holiday weekend and the problem has been repaired. The EPA max level for chlorine levels in a distribution system is 4.0 parts per million. They system has been tested and is at 1.88 parts per million which is well below the EPA max. Fresh non-chlorinated water is being drawn into the system and diluting the chlorinated water. With more usage and pumping the chlorine will be diluted.
